Floor Plans: A Closer Look at the McKenna

In this post, we are going to take a closer look at the McKenna floor plan, one of the homes in our Northstar Series. The Northstar homes are designed for those with growing families or who are looking to move up from their starter home. The McKenna offers a large amount of space for entertaining, plus enough living space for a growing family or for those who want the space to work from home.

Wide Open Livingmckenna

One of the most popular features of the McKenna is its large, open living/dining/kitchen space. The three rooms are basically one large space with the kitchen situated over on one side and a small island denoting that space. You can use the island as your primary eating space if you want, giving you much more space for your living room. However, with a dining area of 9’ by 16’ and a living area larger than 10’ by 21’, you have plenty of space for both. A corner fireplace and a walk-in laundry room connected to the garage are just two additional features that you’ll love.

Three Bedrooms

The McKenna has three large bedrooms. The smallest is more than 110 square feet while the master offers over 156 square feet of space plus a huge walk-in closet and a private bath. The other two bedrooms share the second bath. The smallest bedroom is located right off the main entryway, which makes it a great choice for a home office.

A Large Garage

If you have children who drive or need a good amount of storage space, the McKenna’s three-car garage has you covered. You can even convert part of this space into a workspace. The garage has its own exterior door.
